The tag service:electricity=* specifies that an amenity provides electrical outlets to visitors. This tag is added to a main feature tag, such as amenity=restaurant, amenity=cafe, amenity=pub, shop=* and similar.

How to map

  • service:electricity=yes if there are plenty of domestic sockets available to customers seated indoors, where they can charge their electronics
  • service:electricity=limited if there are a few domestic sockets available to customers seated indoors, where they can charge their electronics
  • service:electricity=ask if there are no sockets available indoors to customers, but charging might be possible if the staff is asked
  • service:electricity=no if there are a no domestic sockets available to customers seated indoors
