__NOTOC__
A shop selling {{wikipedia|en|text=no|delicatessen}} (fine foods), e.g. curecured meat and fish, expensive cheesecheeses and sausagesspreads, caviar, nut and olive oils, or luxury confectionery. May also sell fine wine. Not to be confused with the US delis! '''In the US''' a shop selling delicatessen is known as a '''gourmet food store'''.

Note that in the USA and Canada, most businesses called "deli" are actually {{Tag|shop|convenience}} or {{Tag|amenity|restaurant}}, while a true {{Tag|shop|deli}} is more likely to be called a "fine foods store" or "gourmet shop."

In Germany: Feinkostladen, e.g. Feinkost Käfer, Butter Lindner, Butterhandlung Holstein.
