attraction=roller_coaster is used to tag roller coasters in amusement parks, theme parks and other similar leisure and entertainment facilities. "A roller coaster is a type of amusement ride that employs a form of elevated railroad track designed with tight turns, steep slopes, and sometimes inversions." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roller_coaster
How to map
Many mappers draw a way along the tracks of the roller coaster. However, this conflicts with the proposal to map roller coaster tracks with roller_coaster=track. This method has been used 1,572 times as of 7 April 2019.
In this case, it has been recommended to map the extent of the ground area of a stationary roller coaster (including queues, buildings and fencing), rather than the outer limits of all the track, which may extend outside the attraction and cross pathways.
As of 7 April 2019, roller_coaster=track is used 1483 times, while attraction=roller_coast has been used 1,572 times on linear ways, thus it is still equally popular to map the roller coaster with this tag. 689 roller coast tracks are double-tagged with attraction=roller_coaster and roller_coaster=track.
It is strictly not recommended to tag roller coaster tracks with "railway". (However, 980 features are tagged with both attraction=roller_coaster and railway=*, mainly railway=minature and railway=narrow_gauge, as of 7 April 2019)
