Use this when a passage is blocked by lumber (usually a tree trunk). This kind of barrier is often useful to sit on. Normally, cyclists can cross this barrier by lifting their bike over it.
How to map
Simply add the tag barrier=log to a node where the log is. You can also add it to a way along the log – if this blocks a highway=* or other way (e.g. waterway=*), such line should intersect and share a node with the object on which it blocks or limits circulation. Logs may also be placed along highways or areas (similar to guard rails and fences).
You may also add further tags to more fully specify what kinds of vehicle or foot traffic have reasonably unhindered access, if this is the case, using access=*.
