The tag building=tech_cab usually describes small prefabricated cabin structures for the (often air-conditioned) accommodation of different technology. There are also hut-like technical cabins with different roof structures and wall materials. Often for communication technology at cell phone sites (BTS) or environmental data measurement technology.

An alternative is to use building=service together with building:prefabricated=yes (which, as of 2025/09, has a higher usage rate than building=tech_cab).
