This tag is for indicating that a map feature such as a cafe, shop, restaurant, etc. offers internet access to the public, either as a paid service or for free. It is used when the specific type of internet access, such as WLAN (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet), is not known.

As an example, a campsite that offers internet access should be tagged primarily as tourism=camp_site and additionally internet_access=yes.
