Status: in use

A lifting stone tagged with leisure=lifting_stone is a stone placed permanently or semi-permanently in a locality to be lifted for proving one's strength. This follows the age old tradition of lifting stones which is known from throughout the world. In some cases, the modern stones replace moved or vandalised stones tagged with historic=lifting_stone, in other cases, they are new placements to revive the old tradition.
