Why remove 'Organised Editing Teams' category?

I added this page to the category 'Organised Editing Teams' recently, because you have an organised editing team, and this category makes it easy for people to see who does. Is there a great reason why you removed this categorisation? --Martijn van Exel (talk) 15:41, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

I've restored it. Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 22:21, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

Needs updating?

Tagging huge building as a sliding gate: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/494587165/history#map=18/-6.17081/106.94545&layers=N (also send as a PM to https://www.openstreetmap.org/message/new/jinalfoflia ) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 08:14, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Answer: The mapper is not with our team but we are looking into their edits and will ensure that the incorrect edits are rectified.

They are not at this moment, but by reading https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/pride_dara profile it appears that they were Grab employee when they tagged entire building as a sliding gate Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 18:16, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Answer: You are right, we have rectified and corrected the edits that you suggested. Please do let us know if there are more issues. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Why barrier=sliding_gate?

Why your employees started using a new tag https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/barrier=sliding_gate#chronology ? Have you discussed it with community of mappers? (also send as a PM to https://www.openstreetmap.org/message/new/jinalfoflia ) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 08:17, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Answer: Hello Mateusz, could you please help us understand your question, this tag has been used previously (refer: https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/barrier=sliding_gate#map) by other mappers and there's wiki sharing more details on the tag and combination - https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:barrier%3Dsliding_gate. It reflects the on-ground scenario where the gates do not open or lift but slide. Are there specific concerns that we can help address? Thank you

It was in use before Grab employees popularized it, but usage was minimal and https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:barrier%3Dsliding_gate was created after it was already being used on a large scale. See Overpasss Turbop for all barrier=sliding_gate tagged on 2019-03-06 (before Grap employees started using it on a large scale).
My concerns are about using weird unusual tagging - how you tried to ask community? How employees are instructed to tag gates? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 06:53, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Answer: As you suggested this tag was accepted and was being used by the community before our team started adding them. The reason why this tag was used is to match the on-ground situation i.e. the gates that were tagged with this tag (key-value pair) were actual sliding gates. There are quite a few of them in the Indonesian region. The reason, why we did not go to the community, was that the tag was valid (used by people before) and matched the exact on-ground situation, which is OpenStreetMap's policy (to ensure the on-ground scenario is best captured on the map). We did not create this tag on our own, this already existed. Thank you for bringing this up.

Why your activity is not listed at Organised_Editing/Activities

Note that listing your paid organized editing at Organised_Editing/Activities is mandatory, not optional (also send as PM) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 08:20, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Answer: Thank you for sharing this, we have updated it from our end, apologies for missing it out: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Organised_Editing/Activities
