What is signal?

Hello, I am translating JOSM into Czech and there are some new strings from Mapillary plugin which needs to be translated i.e.:

Next Signal

But I do not know what "Signal" is. Is it a traffic sign? Please explain so I can properly trnsalte this. Thank you. Chrabros (talk) 11:02, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

This should be corrected now. I meant sign.

Issues noted

Glad this is currently a thing! A few things I'm noticing while trailing it...

  • File, Import Pictures, then clicking cancel on the open file dialog. A new layer is added, even though my thoughts were "oh, this isn't the feature I want".
  • The "Next picture" button moves focus/map to the next location but does not display the next photo. Having to mouse over the icon is really annoying, especially as my cursor might flow over other photos when mapping things.
    • I would also like an option (similar to the normal photo plugin) where I could tick/untick "move to photo location". Often I will want to flick to the next photo without the map panning because that confuses me.

Thanks for the feedback. I've just added this to the latest development version. Nokutu (talk) 14:11, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

layer active/inactive

Fixed Is it necessary to set the mapillary-layer to active and the data-layer to inactive on load the plugin?

Steps to reproduce:

- load some data

- STRG+SHIFT+ALT+M [*]

- The data-layer is inactive, have to activate it again.

P.s. [*] Shift+Alt is not a good Shortcut it changes on Windows the keyboard-language

You are right. As now you can select images from the OSM data layer there is no need to change to it. And about the shourtcut, it has been change to ctrl+coma. Nokutu (talk) 10:09, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
works fine, thx. Dex2000 (talk) 12:10, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
is broken again Dex2000 (talk) 11:14, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the hint. In v1.1.4 aka r31976 this is now fixed again, that version will soon (in the next 24h) be distributed via JOSM's plugin update mechanism.
If you now type Shift + , the mapillary-layer is displayed but the active layer doesn't change. For successive presses of Shift + , the mapillary-layer will be activated/deactivated depending on if it is currently active. --Floscher (talk) 23:15, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

"next image" broken if load new data

Fixed Steps to reproduce:

- mark last arrow of an M-track

- "next image" is grey (correct)

- load some data

- "next image" is still grey (incorrect)

Dex2000 (talk) 13:26, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Fixed, thanks for reporting it. Nokutu (talk) 08:34, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Works fine, thx Dex2000 (talk) 12:09, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

How to install?

Hi, how do i install your plugin on OSX? Just copy it into the application folder? Thanks! --Ziltoidium (talk) 10:13, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

You can download the latest stable version from the program, just like a normal plugin. If you want the latest one, first install the stable version from JOSM (you need some dependencies), close JOSM and then download the .jar file I mention at the bottom of the page and copy it to ~/.josm/plugins. Nokutu (talk) 14:14, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

I did not use the latest josm version! Now the plugin is shown in my download list. Thanks! --Ziltoidium (talk) 07:44, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

It would be good to note that this plug-in installs and configures the Apache web server. This could be a concern to some. --TreeStryder (talk) 00:06, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

Where do you have that information from? The Mapillary plugin does not install the Apache Webserver on your computer! You are probably referring to the dependency on the JOSM plugin apache-http, which contains the Apache HTTP client. That's a common Java library (formerly part of Apache Commons) and a totally different thing. Cheers --Floscher (talk) 17:25, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
My apologies. That is exactly the misinformed conclusion I jumped to. --TreeStryder (talk) 17:57, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

Clarification Date and GSoC

Please say Google Summer of Code for 2015, or something like that. Then, we'll know what "this year" means.

Date of Image

Sometimes there is a date above (top of) the photo sometimes not. No idea to give more infos about that Bug. Is it known? Dex2000 (talk) 19:04, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Save Mappilary in Session?

would be nice to save the Layer in a session-file (without data)

Steps to reproduce:

  • open mapillary-layer
  • save -> as session -> checkbox is not checkable for mapillary-layer

Image for that: https://www.picflash.org/picture.php?key=81OXAZ&action=show

Alternative of this could be to load the layer automatically (like i.E. the Scout Signs it do) Dex2000 (talk) 19:15, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Blacklisting tracks

Would be nice feature to blacklist tracks

in addition of that maybe: dont show again

  • this track (temporary/session/ever)
  • this user (temporary/session/ever)
  • this picture/marker (temporary/session/ever)

Dex2000 (talk) 11:22, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Mark visited Markers

Would be nice to colouring visited markers other than unvisited.

Jump to blue/red

What is the meaning of the "Jump to blue" and "Jump to red" buttons? I can see there is a red and a blue line from the current image to some other images, but I have no idea what red and blue are supposed to mean. I can only see that they are always on different tracks, but why? --Pbb (talk) 15:59, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

How can I unzoom a photo?

By clicking on the photo, I can zoom in. But how can I zoom back out? Not by clicking the right mouse button, not by pressing Escape. If I scroll down, the photo zooms out for a second but automatically zooms in again. The only way to zoom out I can find, is by selecting another photo. --Pbb (talk) 16:42, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

"Scroll" down (mousewheel) works here fine (josm 8800) Dex2000 (talk) 08:32, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, scrolling works. A bit counter-intuitive; zoom in by clicking, zoom out by scrolling... --Pbb (talk) 16:42, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Hover shown Foto unsharpened

if i hover an image-arrow the foto is shown unsharp. Click on arrow (to set "active") sharpened it. (hover again on active image-arror unsharpened again) Bug or Feature? Dex2000 (talk) 08:35, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
