Overly and unnecessarily complex tags

What is load_bearing_brick_wall_in_cement_mortar for when the same outcome can be more easily and sensibly described using a building:structure=* and building:cladding=* tag combination? Ditto the other overly-long tags...

In practice I have tagged (for example) building:structure=brick, building:cladding=rendering to define the load-bearing structure/exterior finish combination. Far cleaner and more flexible. In any case, in the UK at least, the modern house structural load is born by cement blocks forming the inner wall of the cavity wall and brick or cement block the outer. Variations include full timber-frame or timber-frame inner and block or brick outer. Block outers are used when the finish is to be rendering (blocks are cheaper and one block extends a wall by the same amount as nine bricks). Thus building:structure=cement_block or building:structure=wood_frame, building:cladding=rendering or building:cladding=brick cleanly describes the load-bearing/finish aspects of a building without complexity and using standard tags registered on the materials Wiki page. Watching housing developments go up around here, the outer part of the cavity wall does not appear to be load-bearing as I have seen houses with complete inner walls in cement block or timber-frame and incomplete outer walls in brick but which already have the roof trusses installed with roofing felt and partially-applied slate or roof tiles in situe. NB: I note that the building:cladding page has been significantly rewritten since I originally found it and commenced mapping using it (having not visited it since then until now, to copy the link to insert). This is unfortunate as a lot of houses in Devon and Somerset have now been mapped using structure/cladding combo tags (building:material is thus also available for more specific use where a building may benefit from three-element detail mapping rather than two-element with the structure/cladding combo schema)--John Grubb (talk) 21:23, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

I remember they are caused by imports or organized edits using this as a descriptor. --- Kovposch (talk) 10:30, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
