Meaning of government=bailiff
The term 'Bailiff" has a wide range of meaning in English. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bailiff#England_and_Wales - where it is used for several different kinds of government official who are involved in collecting debts. In the USA, a Bailiff is "a police officer providing court security", who maintain order in a courtroom. According to wikipedia it seems that in Poland a "a court bailiff (komornik sądowy) is a public official (but not a civil servant) who is assigned to undertake enforcement action within the area of the jurisdiction of a single regional court" - it seems they collect court debts or financial charges? - "bailiff" is the most popular English translation for the office called "Gerichtsvollzieher" in German or "huissier de justice" in French. Their basic function is to execute civil judgments (I owe you money, you get a judgment, and now you ask the "bailiff" to go attach my earnings or whatever). The details vary a lot from jurisdiction to jurisdiction; in Germany they are court officials, in Belgium they are self-employed professionals with certain executive powers (like notaries) Vollis (talk) 15:02, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
public works, infrastructure development and maintenance
This wiki page does not describe the case, and the tags I've found in use are `public_works` (mostly in USA and Costa Rica) and `infrastructure` (mostly in the Netherlands). Shall I go for the local option (I'm currently in Panamá), or for the European interpretation (I've lived 15 years in the Netherlands)? Can we make a common choice?
