frechness of the data

This tool is very usefull, and nice complement/replacement for tagwatch. However, the main problem is frechness of the data. Could it be updated regularly or is it too CPU intensive ? sletuffe 16:57, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I saw your comment only now. I know that the current situation isn't optimal but I'm working on improving it. Please just hold out for a while longer. Regular updates are coming! --LarsF 10:54, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
No problem. Thanks for your answer sletuffe 14:47, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

License

I contacted the author of the software, asking about the license. Just mentioning it so people can know that 1 person(me) has asked. Logictheo 13:06, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Well given that the source isn't published... what difference does it make what license it is not published under? :-) -- Harry Wood 17:12, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
It says on the main page that if someone asks for the source code, it can be given. It matters to me. logictheo 22:30, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
+ it matters because if you share your code you show that you care. I might not be able to code, but I will feel more welcome to code. Others can code, if I can't code(yet). It's a matter of time, what I can't do now, I may do in the future, and if people show intention to share their work, then I will feel more welcome to participate. logictheo 21:52, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
I'll make the code for the new version, that is currently under development, available. The old version isn't maintained anymore so I don't have plans to release any code for it. I haven't chosen a license yet but it'll probably be some kind of BSD/Apache license --LarsF 10:53, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Easiest thing is to check it into SVN here and release with the OpenStreetMap License (GNU GPL), but up to you obviously. --Harry Wood 12:56, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
