  • How old is "old"?
    • Sorry wrong Talkpage ...
      • Ahm ... something is very strange here. It opens the wrong talk page S.A.L. 10:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

What would be the difference between historic=yes and old=yes?

I don't like the idea of this tag. How old is really "old"? Is an way "old" even if it is made of stones in an old fashion a few years ago? Having a clear definition for old is the problem here. --Kslotte 13:59, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Rep

You don't make a mistake, but i did when creating the Proposal page.

historical is immaterial, old is real. I first thought to put this option like you tell, but other tag already use this option and we need a new one to appeal a specific render for highway=residential_narrow.

not needed

This can easily be represented by highway=residential, width=2.5 (any value smaller than a limit), which can be rendered differently if demanded. This reduces the proposal to a simple rendering rule. I think this is not needed. --Lulu-Ann 09:57, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I think Lulu-Ann is right. "narrow" is not a fixed value. For one person "narrow" is smaller than 3 meters, for other people "narrow" is smaller than 2 meters. It's better to set the width-value to the streets and tell the renderer that streets, that are smaller than 2.5 meters are rendered like service-ways or so. S.A.L. 09:18, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
