English

Proposal:Conference Centre has claimed this is the British English, and "convention" (center) being American. I'm not sure about this. It's true there are many "Convention Center" in USA. On the contrary, I have this impression of "conference center" from universities.

The term "convention centre" is sometimes used for intermediate venues between exhibitions centres and "conference centres", which are much smaller and contain lecture halls and meeting rooms.
 Convention center

Then there's the almost funny template label "A conference centre is a large building used to hold a convention"
Furthermore the proposal seems to invalidate this. The Proposal:Conference_Centre#Examples and disclaimer are not exhibition or convention centers.

This tag should not be used to tag exposition centres. An exposition centre is mainly composed of large, level halls, while a conference has auditoriums with many seats. There is a proposal for exposition centres, see Proposed features/Events centre.
