--Nils Lux 15:42, 6 January 2011 (BST

Inconsistencies between timetable and topographie.lu

There are some inconsistencies between the bus routes described in the Dépliant horaire at vdl.lu and the bus route op topographie.lu . Someone should check this at location.

  • Line 1: are the stops at AVL Portal and AVL Betriebshof open for passengers? Math1985 10:45, 15 June 2011 (BST)
  • Line 7: are Rehazenter and Rehazenter parking indeed two different stops? Math1985 15:10, 15 June 2011 (BST)
I have not found any indication of a bus stop at Rehazenter parking. It seams that it is only a parking space for the buses at the terminal.--Loll78 16:05, 19 June 2011 (BST)

"Network" Tag

A regroup of different lines to one network. In Luxembourg there exists, to my knowledge, three Bus networks, namely AVL, TICE and RGTR and one rail network (CFL). So one should label the line with the network which is it in. --Loll78 15:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

I do not know if there exists bus lines which belong to multiple networks. In that case it should all the networks should be noted in an alphabetical order and separated by a comma?? --Loll78 15:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

"Ref" Tag

The number of the line. As short as possible --Loll78 15:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

I would like to recommend that busses with a single number, should be shown as such and should not have a "0" added in front (eg. "8" iso "08"). Some GPS devices have a shield limit of 8 characters (such as Garmin) allowing it to display a maximum of 4 busroutes shared on one node (eg 1/2/3/4). When this number is exceeded, the shield is not displayed and the bus references are treated as "names" and displayed as one long string. --Wilda69 11:29, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

"Operator" Tag

If the line is only deserved by one company, this company should be written here--Loll78 15:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

"Name" Tag

This is the most controversial tag. On the one side the name should be unique on a large map (e.g. 300x300km2) in order to easily identify the relation. On the other side it should be short in order to not overload some interactive public transportation map. So I suggest to label the relation with "Network - Ref" --Loll78 15:23, 15 January 2011 (UTC).

"from"/"to" Tag

Name of the terminus. It is difficult to say how to attribute the terminus to the tags. Especially for inter-city connections. I have two proposals. Either the "main" location of the network is used for the "from" tag. Or the "from"/"to" tags are filled alphabetically. --Loll78 15:23, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
