User page

Hi Dorothea, if you are using this account for official osmf edit, could you please create a user page on which you tell about you and your role at OSMF. Possibly add a link to a page on osmfoundation.org which mentions this account as official account. --Aseerel4c26 (talk) 00:55, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! --Aseerel4c26 (talk) 21:39, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Fixing typos

Is it OK for candidates to edit Foundation/AGM19/Election to Board/Answers and manifestos to fix typos? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:19, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

@Mateusz Konieczny:
Mateusz, my understanding is that it is ok for the candidates to:
  • Fix typos.
  • Make minor changes in formatting.
  • Add things that were included in the answers that have been sent to Michael Collinson and me and might have been lost/left out during the copying of the answers to the wiki.
What they cannot do:
  • Add text that was not sent to Michael and me.
  • Modify the text of their answers (except typos, minor changes).

Missing file information

Hello! And thanks for your upload - but some extra info is necessary.

Sorry for bothering you about this, but it is important to know source of the uploaded files.

Are you the author of image File:2019 Dorothea's time allocation.png ?

Or is it copied from some other place (which one?)?

Please, add this info to the file page - something like "I took this photo" or "downloaded from -website link-" or "I took this screeshot of program XYZ".

In case that you are the author of the image: Would you agree to open licensing of this image, allowing its use by anyone (similarly to your OSM edits)?

Would you be OK with CC0 (it allows use without attribution or any other requirement)?

Or do you prefer to require attribution and some other things using CC-BY-SA-4.0?

If you are the author: Please add {{CC0-self}} to the file page to publish the image under CC0 license.

You can also use {{CC-BY-SA-4.0-self}} to publish under CC-BY-SA-4.0 license.

Note that in cases where photo is a screenshot of some software interface: usually it is needed to handle also copyright of software itself.

Note that in cases where aerial imagery is present: also licensing of an aerial imagery matter.

Feel free to ask for help if you need it - you can do it for example by asking on Talk:Wiki: new topic.

Please ask there if you are not sure what is the proper next step. Especially when you are uploading files that are not your own work or are derivative work (screenshots, composition of images, using aerial imagery etc).

Once you add missing data - please remove {{Unknown|subcategory=uploader notified January 2022}} from the file page.

Hi Mateusz :) Thanks for the note and for contacting other users as well. Confirming that I have explicitly added a licence to that file (previously the default OSM wiki licence was implied). I'm also looking at some sticker designs that I have uploaded and will go through them during the next days :) Dorothea (talk) 22:36, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
