Akadály

A barrier címkét általában olyan utak mentén található pontoknál alkalmazzuk, ahol a haladás valamilyen akadály által korlátozott. Szintén idetartoznak azon vonalak is, amelyek maguk is akadályok (pl. kerítések). (Lásd még: Barriers)

Vonalszerű akadályok
barrier	city_wall	Városfal: Egy várost vagy települést a lehetséges támadóktól megvédő erődítmény. Az ókortól napjainkig használják települések körbekerítésére. a vonal jobb oldala a fal alja, bal oldala a fal teteje. Ha mindkét oldal egyforma magas, akkor add hozzá a "two_sided=yes" címkét is.
barrier	ditch	Árok: csatorna, árok vagy vízmosás, általában patakkal az alján. Az átkelés rajtuk nem könnyű, főleg lábon. A `waterway=stream` vagy `waterway=drain` címkékkel is használható..
barrier	fence	Kerítés: egy adott határvonalon való átjutást korlátozó vagy megakadályozó, szabadon álló struktúra. A falnál könnyebb, gyengébb konstrukció.

barrier	kerb	A (for example footway) kerb is a barrier for vehicles and wheelchair drivers. The height of the kerb is important and with this information, the usage by different groups can be determined. The height of the kerb is tagged additionally as `height=*`, if available. Right side is bottom, left side is top.

barrier	log	Use this when the passage is closed by lumber (trunk of a tree). This kind of barrier is often useful to sit on. This barrier is a penalty to cyclists but can be crossed by lifting the bike over.
