An
emergency telephone is a phone that anyone can use to contact an emergency service. Some places, usually train stations, university sites and highways, have outdoor emergency telephones where you press a single button to have a direct line with somewhere such as the security office or police. When you press the button, a light might also flash to alert people close by that there is trouble.
It should not be used for phones that only the police can use. However, in San Francisco some "police telephone" boxes (which require a key to open, for use of the police) have been mapped this way.
How to map
Place a node
at the appropriate location and add emergency=phone.
