History
service=driveway2 was first used in 2021 by a single mapper who disagreed with how service=driveway is defined. The tag was removed from the database in July 2023. It was invented in response to a dispute about whether service=driveway should be tagged on a wider variety of service roads, such as parking lot access roads. The tag was subsequently deprecated after an extended community discussion.
