A gorge, also known as ravine or canyon, is a narrow valley with steep, rocky walls.

Gorges often have their own names, and many gorges are tourist attractions.

How to Map

Draw a line (way) along the bottom of the gorge and tag with natural=gorge plus the name=* if relevant. If the gorge is part of a valley with another name, you can map both separately as different ways.

Also consider mapping any cliffs along the sides of the gorge with separate ways tagged natural=cliff
