The crossing:flags=* tag is used to indicate the presence of hand-held pedestrian crossing flags at a crossing.

These flags are usually made available with the intention of increasing the visibility of pedestrians within the crossing.

Values

Note that this key is intended to capture whether the physical infrastructure for the pedestrian crossing flags is present and the flags are typically available, not necessarily whether there are currently flags present at any given time. Individual flags may be stolen or temporarily all stored on one side of a crossing, but the yes value should still be applied where one can generally expect flags to be available long-term, such as at locations with robust flag holders and where flags are restocked as needed on an ongoing basis.

How to map

Add the crossing:flags=* tag and appropriate value to a highway=crossing node node or footway=crossing way way.
