The tag wall=* is used in two ways:
- When used together with
barrier=wallit provides more detailed information about the wall, its purpose or construction material/method. - When used together with
building=*orbuilding:part=*it indicate building permanency and presence of walls. Such usage of this tag was initiated by the import of the French cadaster and was later picked up by 3D rendering applications.
