OpenSUSE

OpenSUSE is a set of Linux-based operating system. It comprises of the following distros

• Leapa LTS distro
• Tumbleweed a rolling-release
• Leap Micro a immutable distro based on Leap
• Micro Immutable distros based on Tumbleweed
• Slowroll similar to Tumbleweed but slower paced releases
• Kalpa KDE desktop spin off Micro

A related project is The Aeon project a immutable the provides Gnome atop Micro. It is specifically not part of the openSUSE ecosystem.

For OSM specific packages it is good idea to add the OpenSUSE Geo Repositories.

OpenSUSE Micro, OpenSUSE Kalpa and Aeon can follow the same instructions as Tumbleweed but in transactional-update shell OpenSUSE Leap Micro can follow the same instructions as Leap but again also in transactional-update shell
