zlevel instead of level

zlevel example

Is there a reason why you chose zlevel and not level=*? --Andi 17:13, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

There are two reasons for the usage of zlevel
  • One is that we examined several ongoing projects and in Termite they came to the same conclusion as we did, which is: "zlevel - This specifies a distinct vertical map space, such as floors in a building."
  • We needed to distinguish the elements of Compound facility -levels in this case- from other objects on the map --Addict User 17:30, 2 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
That is so special about that level type? In my view it's also simply a floor number. level=* is much more common (60k objects [1] have that tag already) than zlevel (currently only 10 objects [2]). --Andi 13:58, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
In our model, level is not just a floor. Level is a spatial thing which extends in two dimentions, can support other objects and can be connected with other levels by level connectors. zlevel indicates the vertical index of level in a facility (therefore must have integer value) compared to ground level zlevel=0 --AddICT (talk) 10:25, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Make roles in relations optional

It would be nice to get an whole model als OSM-XML. Can you upload the file somewhere? In general: In my opinion roles of relations members are redundant and should be optional. --Andi 17:13, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The examples will be uploaded soon. Please let me know which members of which relation are you talking about? Thanks --AddICT (talk) 16:27, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Example OSM data can be found here: http://www.addict.hit.bme.hu/twiki/bin/view/Projects/MultiModalMobilityPublic/WebSource "AddICT (talk) 18:47, 5 December 2013 (UTC)"Reply

Upload finished

Major part of the information is uploaded. Please visit our site aswell, and leave your comments. We will try to respond to them at least on a daily basis.

As requested, several example files will be uploaded to demonstrate our ideas.

IndoorOSM

Could you please specify what is the relation to other proposed indoor tagging systems and what are the advantages of this one? I am especially interested in IndoorOSM. --Jakubt (talk) 22:02, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
