Copyright Breach?

The Happy Cow website has clear claims on copyright. Their information CANNOT be used in OSM.

Warin61, thanks for your comment. I don't believe there is a copyright breach here. If you think there is, could you be more specific please? Sorry .. reread the proposal. As you are providing a reference to them, it should not be a problem. I would still contact them to advise of this and see if they have any objection. They may even approve, encourage and support the activity. Warin61 (talk) 21:29, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Happy Cow is happy

I contacted Happy Cow to check if they would have any objections. Emailed 19th Feb 2017, and conversed with Eric Brent of Happy Cow. I said there was no intention to do any automatic matching or content-scraping. Eric said they had no objections.--Danstowell (talk) 20:39, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi Jolesh. Do you think we should take it forward to a vote? Do you think this tag would be useful? There are 108 occurrences of it so far, and most of them are probably by me. https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/happycow%3Aid#map I think it should be fine. Change Key

I think the Key should be changed from happycow:id=* to happycow=* as it is with the other platforms like facebook=*--Jolesh (talk) 15:27, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

I don't think that's a great idea as the restaurant name may change, but the ID will probably be permanent. Having 'id' in the tag makes it clear we only want the id, not the full url of it. Pizzaiolo (talk) 04:55, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
