A very large settlement, larger than a town. The minimum population may vary by country but is usually over 100,000 inhabitants.
How to Map
Add the place=city to appropriate the area or node.
Name the city using name=* on the appropriate node.
You can also add other useful information as shown in the example. This is useful for searching.
