A cartpath is a route where  Golf_carts are designated to drive along a golf course. Golf carts are not typically required to use these routes and they may not connect to other cartpaths or any other road network.

As with the other golf golf=* tags, this tag is intended specifically for mapping golf gameplay features.

There is a proposal page for this tag: Proposed_features/Tag:golf=cartpath

It has been suggested that standard tags highway=path, highway=service, golf_cart=designated should be used instead.

In May 2019, the access tag golf_cart=* was approved to be used with highway tags instead of this tag.

How to map

Draw an wayway and tag it with golf=cartpath. The way should be within an area tagged leisure=golf_course.

Examples

Consider using the standard tag for minor service roads, for cart paths that are wide enough for full-size motor vehicles
