The tag barrier=entrance defines an opening (a gap or hole) in a linear barrier=*. There is nothing to limit a passage through the barrier at this place, so access=yes is assumed. For entrances that are secured by a door, gate, or other means, use barrier=gate instead.

Warning: The iD editor, since version 2.15, suggests changing this tag into entrance=yes. These tags are not the same.
