A house that is attached to another house on one side. Also known as a duplex.

Interconnected homes of more than two units (commonly called a "triplex", "quadruplex", or more generally a “multiplex” should be tagged as building=terrace or building=house, depending on the configuration of the units.

Similar Tags

The tag building=semi serves the same purpose as building=semidetached_house, but has only a fraction of the uses.

Alternate tagging

Some mappers prefer to map this a building=house + house=semi-detached.
