An offshore platform, oil platform, or offshore drilling rig is a large structure with facilities for well drilling to explore, extract, store, and process petroleum and natural gas which lies in rock formations beneath the seabed. The tag man_made=offshore_platform may be used for platforms used for production, drilling, observation, pumping, or any other purpose.

node at the central position of a fixed installed platform and tag with man_made=offshore_platform
