This tag is used with highway=service to specify that the service road provides access to a fuel pump. The pumps must be tagged amenity=fuel.

Shop

Some have suggested using this tag in combination with shop=car or shop=car_repair, but this is not recommended. If the business primarily exists to provide fuel to customers, it should be tagged amenity=fuel, and service=fuel is unnecessary. If the business primarily provides some other goods or services, but also provides fuel, use service:vehicle=* instead.
