Washing feet in a sports facility

If shower=* points out showers inside places, then foot_shower=* could be used with building=mosque, building=pavilion or other. Davileci (talk) 01:29, 6 August 2023 (UTC

Foot and body showers on same node

File:Surfer memorial showers.jpg shows a combined foot and body shower, with buttons for each nozzle, but alas the foot part is not recorded on its https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1128776802/history . So maybe it should be

amenity=shower
shower=body;foot

As alternative, amenity=shower & foot_shower=yes. Something B (talk) 23:23, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

The use of semicolon is avoidable by splitting the element into two separate nodes tagged with amenity=shower and amenity=foot_shower respectively. Davileci (talk) 00:59, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Urgent need for a rendering?

The service of publicly accessible commercial showers amenity=shower is undoubtedly linked to the development of a country, so in underdeveloped countries such showers may simply not exist. On the other hand, in underdeveloped countries there may be a well-developed network of "opportunities" to wash the body, or even to wash in places of worship. Photos above - defakto used to wash selected parts of the body hands, legs, face, ears, neck, etc. an analogue of the commercial, public shower in less developed countries. Arguably, the tag amenity=foot_shower in relation to ensuring access to clean water for hygiene purposes in the hinterland in the least developed countries needs urgent rendering.
