Use natural=dune

I don't see any uses in the database yet for landcover=dunes, however, natural=dune is documented and used over 1000 times https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/natural=dune. Most commonly dunes are tagged as natural=sand. Note that the key natural=* is used for semi-natural and human-modified features (eg natural=tree is often planted by humans, natural=water is used for the water area of canals, docks and locks). Landcover is clearly incorrect for this feature; a dune is a landform, like a natural=peak, natural=ridge or natural=cliff - landforms are normally tagged with the key natural=*. See landcover as well - landcover in OSM is usually also tagged with the key natural=*, but many times a more specific feature is used in leisure=*, landuse=*, etc. --Jeisenbe (talk) 13:41, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

I agree with Jeisenbe, this draft for a new tag should not exist in the tag definition area, rather it is a proposal with almost no usage and should be moved to the proposal area (3 objects as of Aug 26, 2019). --Dieterdreist (talk) 16:36, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
