Duplicate Tag

This tag seems to be a duplicate of man_made=flare, which is in more common useage.Dmgroom (talk) 13:32, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

This tag was meant to be used on flare stacks that have significance as landmarks. I don't know if there is any desire to use this tag anymore (but will not consider removing it), though seamark:type=landmark + seamark:landmark:category=flare_stack is used for those flare stacks with significance for marine navigation (i.e. visible far at sea, used to identify entrance to a port, etc), and theoretically airmark=flare_stack or similar for those with aeronautical significance (not familiar on that topic). This tag should as far as I can see always be used in tandem to man_made=flare, a flare stack might not be suitable for navigation, even if close to the coast, depending on surrounding structures, and flare stacks quite distance inland might still be of significant. --Skippern (talk) 16:37, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
