(end 2015/start 2016) : cartography for Paysages de France

To fight against a governmental project on advertising display in public space, I made a cartography in late 2015 to present the impact of this project if ever it was applied. This cartography was used later by many journalists and even on main TV to explain to everybody the situation, and this cartography helped the French national debate on this topic.
As I used public open data to realize this cartography, I participated to the French national contest : see here my participation to the #dataconnexions6 contest.
Eventually, after several months of non-profit activisms, orchestrated by Paysages de France, we obtained the removal of this insane project : a great victory for the landscape defenders.
The on-line cartography I made was considered decisive, at the end.

Pour lutter contre un projet de décret gouvernemental sur l'affichage publicitaire, j'ai réalisé à la Toussaint 2015 une cartographie pour montrer l'impact qu'aurait ce décret s'il était adopté.
Comme j'ai réutilisé des données publiques (communes, unités urbaines, populations, Parc Naturels Régionaux, Parcs Nationaux), j'ai participé au concours dataconnexions #6 organisé par l'ETALAB. Voir ma participation au concours dataconnexion ici
Cette cartographie a été reprise par mal de médias en lignes et de médias traditionnels et jusqu'au JT de France 2 (le 20H de David Pujadas) le 1er Février 2016.
Finalement après plusieurs mois d'activisme associatif orchestré par Paysages de France, nous avons obtenu le retrait de presque tout ce projet de décret : une énorme victoire pour les défenseurs du paysage. La cartographie en ligne a été jugée "décisive" dans cette victoire.

(2015) : inventory of advertising devices

- I started initially to inventory roughly advertising devices in Toulouse metropole (city in south west of France), so far manually, and I m looking for a way to do that automatically. You can see this inventory here (or type 'advertising=* in haute-garonne' in overpass turbo), and mapcraft here.

But all last years) recent work on advertising pages of OSM wiki lacks communitarian works (late and recent feedbacks from several people), and that would be a big work in 2017 to start anew all discussions to reach consensus on these points : I ll start to discuss, ask, propose on all these topics.
