Soy Ecólogo de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2012), Maestro en Geografía (2018) y Doctor en Geografía (2023) de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Soy parte de la comunidad OpenStreetMap desde 2012. Actualmente exploro el potencial de la Información Geográfica Voluntaria y el Mapeo Participativo para fortalecer: 1) el monitoreo ambiental de base comunitaria, 2) los procesos por la justicia ambiental y la defensa territorial indígena, afrodescendiente, campesina y periurbana; y 3) la gestión de desastres. Pertenezco a las Comunidades OpenStreetMap Colombia y OpenStreetMap Latinoamérica.

I am an Ecologist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2012), Master in Geography (2018) and PhD in Geography (2023) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. I am part of the OpenStreetMap community since 2012. I am currently exploring the potential of Voluntary Geographic Information and Participatory Mapping to strengthen: 1) community-based environmental monitoring, 2) environmental justice processes and indigenous, afro-descendant, peasant and peri-urban territorial defense; and 3) disaster management. I belong to the OpenStreetMap Colombia y OpenStreetMap Latinoamérica communities.
