The subtag place_of_mourning=yes is used to indicate the presence of a room or rooms within some other amenity where families and friends can come, before the funeral, and view the body of the person who has died (often also called chapel of rest in Britain).

Use of this subtag should be limited to cases where the amenity is ancillary to some other tagged amenity and it doesn't seem possible or appropriate to tag the place of mourning apart, e.g. thus:

building=*
amenity=crematorium
place_of_mourning=yes

building=*
shop=funeral_directors
place_of_mourning=yes

To tag a place of mourning as a standalone premise use the tag amenity=place_of_mourning instead.

More details on what the (sub)tag covers and does not cover can also be found under amenity=place_of_mourning.
