Seems perfectly fine
As far as I can see, it seems 100% fine. And I learned about a new sport today :) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 10:55, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Since this tag is already used fairly often, you can just document it with a new page (Tag:sport=four_square) and add it to the list on the Key:sport page. There already seems to be community consensus that new sport tags can be documented without discussion if they are already used fairly widely. --Jeisenbe (talk) 15:33, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
Playground
playground=four_square is also in use, though only two-thirds as often as sport=four_square. Should playground=four_square be used in combination with leisure=pitch or instead of it? – Minh Nguyễn 💬 01:47, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- That's an interesting question that feels like a very gray area. On the one hand, we have
playground=hopscotch, but on the other, we usesport=basketball. Where do you draw the line betweenplayground=*andsport=*? Mwoehlke (talk) 11:47, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

- Sport definition: "an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment". Four square is a game played between other people, so is hopscotch.
playground=hopscotchshould probably switched tosport=hopscotch. Playground activities are not competitive. That's where you draw the line. - On another tangent, I looked into other examples of
sport=*and the only conflict seems to besport=yogawhich isn't even an approved feature (but it's on the Key:sport page!?).sport=yogashould probably be changed tofitness=yogaand be part of a generalleisure=fitness_centreoverhaul. Currently there aren't any tags that can indicate what equipment, classes (Proposed features/Education 2.0 needs to be sorted out), and activities aleisure=fitness_centremight offer. That's why it needs an overhaul. --Lectrician1 (talk) 20:49, 18 November 2020 (UTC) - (Update) I just looked at the sport page again and realized there are a lot of features under sport that aren't competitive. Like I noted with yoga, a overhaul is probably needed. --Lectrician1 (talk) 20:51, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
