Subtype of lounger

This is a subtype of lounger and therefore shouldn't have a top-level tag - it should be a sub-tag instead. --ZeLonewolf (talk) 03:12, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

For example, amenity=lounger & lounger=wave. Something B (talk) 07:47, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
+1, for me this is clearly an amenity=lounger, but you should establish the subkey lounger:type=* (see also bench:type=*).
Just for documentation: According to TagInfo, there is 228x bench=wave_lounger, but imho this should be bench:type=wave_lounger or amenity=lounger + lounger:type=wave. --Supaplex030 (talk) 21:29, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
@Supaplex030: I just turned one of the red-links you posted into a blue-link :) Of course, lounger:type should be preferred, as it applies to bench:type=lounger just the same as to lounger; but this is OSM after all - tags not available through templates rather kept short to save typing ;)

This is not a subtype of lounger. Lounger can be applied to movable loungers besides or within hotel/private/pools or indoor spas, it can also be applied to areas, either representing a single item - or a place, where commonly/sometimes/seasonally/depending on time of day/and who knows what - none, one, or more loungers can be found. That tag is broken beyond repair. If you have an idea for a new top-level instance I'd be happy to consider. --Hungerburg (talk) 09:15, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
