Windsurfing, also sailboarding or boardsailing, is a surface water sport that combines elements of sport=surfing and sport=sailing, where the rider stands on a board powered by the wind through a sail. This tag is used to mark a physical feature related to windsurfing, e.g. indicates that a sport facility is for windsurfing.

How to map

Since sport=windsurfing is a non-physical tag, it should be combined with other top-level tags; e.g.:

  • natural=beach - A landform along a body of water which consists of sand, shingle or other loose material.
