Snowplow / Snowplough station/center/garage/etc?

In areas that get regular snow, there are often Grit bunkers, Gritting stations, Snowplow/snowpolugh stations, and other related faciliites solely related to snow removal.

I used snowplowing=station to tag a landuse=industrial area dedicated to the large garages, parking, and small management office for a snow removal station. If landuse=civic_service was approved, there would be no question that that would be the proper tag for the landuse for the facility, but at least we can tag these snow removal stations with this tag. I would simply start with landuse=industrial + industrial=depot + depot=*

9 depot=snow

snowplowing=* is inappropriate to be both a feature and attribute; or changing the meaning from whether it is snowplowed, to what snowplowing facility it is. It's unscalable, as it can't be used for grit facilities. Kovposch (talk) 07:42, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
