What is "miliary=missile" exactly? The missile itself? Can you please provide an exact definition @Rtfm:? It is pretty pointless to discuss a tag if we do not have a common understanding about its meaning. --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 22:54, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

"what missile is - that is quite clear anyway"

Simply ask him https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Tag:military%3Dmissile&oldid=2462255 (BTW - he is against example pictures in this case) or read the wikipedia description in the article (see "examples") https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:military%3Dlaunchpad. Please feel free to enhance the article Rtfm (talk) 03:07, 30 January 2023 (UTC)

Well, meaning of "military missile" is quite clear. But vast majority of them are not mappable. For example https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Standard_missile_launch_from_FFG_48.jpg that you used as example for that page is clearly not mappable as it is moving Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 09:36, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
Not that anyone asked for it, but IMO this tag is bunk because it's not mapping missile, but whatever it's being stored in. At least I assume that's the case. The same goes for military=ammunition BTW. In that case we are mapping the building where the ammunition is being stored, not the actual ammunition. Whereas the tag makes it seem like we are mapping actual boxes of bullets that are lying around an air field or something. --Adamant1 (talk) 04:35, 31 January 2023 (UTC)

"storage facilities for military missiles "

Note that actual uses are for

In neither case it is for storage.

All this page is still entirely tagfiddling, unrelated to actual mapping. I would propose to delete this page, it is misleading description of tag used in total 3 times worldwide Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:06, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

+1 to deleting the page. There's zero reason to have it with only 3 uses of the tag anyway. More so since it's not even accurate though. Adamant1 (talk) 00:43, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
