This key is used for multiple unrelated purposes:
- To indicate that a bus stop has a flag-shaped sign (
flag=yes) - To indicate the name of a file on Wikimedia Commons that depicts the flag of the territory represented by a boundary relation (for example,
flag=File:Flag of France.svg)
To indicate the flags that fly from a flagpole (man_made=flagpole), use flag:name=* and/or flag:wikidata=* instead.
