This tag may be used for medium-sized combined medical centres and polyclinics with tens of doctors, nurses and associated staff which offers outpatient care, diagnosis and treatment. Minor surgeries and ongoing treatments may be available here, as may drop-in emergency care. Admission of inpatients is not typically provided. Alternatively, a "clinic" may simply be an institution where a specific, specialised branch of medicine is practised.

How to Map

When tagging, you may wish to consider using amenity=doctors or amenity=dentist instead if the practice is small and specialised, with perhaps only 1 to 10 staff. Also consider amenity=hospital if the facility is very large with hundreds of staff and/or offers inpatient care (beds for long stays).

Set a node node at the center of the feature or draw an area area along its outline. Tag it with amenity=clinic and name=*.
