A conference centre (convention centerAE) is a large building used to hold a convention, where individuals and groups gather to promote and share common interests. Convention centres typically offer sufficient floor area to accommodate several thousand attendees. Some large hotels include a conference centre. Conference centres are typically built around at least one auditorium and may also contain concert halls, lecture halls, smaller meeting rooms, and seminar rooms.

The tag amenity=events_venue is similar. Very large venues which are primarily used for major trade shows are more often tagged as exhibition centres (amenity=exhibition_centre).
