The tag utility=chemical is added to a feature (such as a marker=*, man_made=street_cabinet or building=service) to specify it is part of infrastructure related to chemical refined products transmission or distribution.

chemicals refined products are produced in refineries and transmitted to consumption places, mainly industries.
This value covers all facilities involved in such processes for any substance=* like ethylene, propylene or ammonia.

It shouldn't be confused with oil products (see utility=oil), or utility=gas for natural gas or bio-methane networks.

Chemical utility usually corresponds to UN International Standard Industrial Classification classes 20 (Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products) or 4930 (Transport via pipeline).
