Long URLs causing a wide table
Did a bit template fiddling today to bring the wide URL columns into one column. I think that helps make the table not quite so massively wide, but obviously there's still some long WMS urls in there. Not sure how to fix that any further
...other than by making sure every listing has a corresponding wiki page, and then farming off the URL details to those other pages (less info in the table essentially) Could be a good idea.

Imagery dates
I'm interested in how to determine the dates of imagery for particular tiles so that I can determine when I'm tracing from. I'm particularly interested at the moment in dating the Mapquest Open Aerial image tiles, but info on the others would be useful too. Thanks. --Ceyockey (talk) 16:48, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

Roads underneath tree cover
Just the other day I was reading e.g.,
- Airborne Laser Scanning for Forest Road Detection
- Large-scale road detection in forested mountainous areas using airbornetopographic lidar data
because gosh, there are tons of forested areas that, well, one cannot see where the roads are, because for some reason, the emphasis in the imagery is trees! Maybe one day we can use some layer like they do. Jidanni (talk) 05:32, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
It's a shame none of the sattelite photos were take in winter, as the deciduous trees would be a lot easier to see through TimRed (talk) 15:21, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
What is the point of this index of layers?
Entries present here should be added to OSM Editor Layer Index and JOSM imagery index if useful.
And if there are not useful - what is the point of listing them?
This page should discuss aerial imagery in context of OSM, not be low quality duplicate of actually useful layer listings.

Philippin3s misplaced?
Disney coverage of the Philippines is listed under USA. Is that a mistake, or is the a reason for it?
