Rendering of amenity=archive

Some search gives us at least 2 hints to get amenity=archive objects rendered (names at least):
  1. use it with building=* (helpful for "ways");
  2. for government archives, also add office=government (helpful for "nodes"). --Bbbz (talk) 23:09, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

government=archive?

Hi,

There is also a page government=archive. Seems a duplication to this one. Does anyone know more about the other tag? --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 08:29, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Somewhat irrelevant, but seems to me it is logical continuation of office=government by further tagging government=*. (sadly I can't read German) A government archive with the government's archive office in it would have all these tags. A government archive that's solely opened to be public without any archive staff working in conservation and management inside would be only amenity=archive, specified by say ownership=government. A private or corporate archive operated by the government would be amenity=archive with operator:type=government. I just encountered this, so that's my thought on it. --Kovposch (talk) 16:47, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
