natural=wood

I modified your edit a bit - main part is changing "Needleleaved woodland (doesn't mean coniferous any longer)" to "Needleleaved woodland (doesn't mean evergreen, use leaf_cycle=* to indicate this).".

Can you look whatever everything is OK? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:20, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

@Mateusz Konieczny: I simply wanted to make clear, that you now have to use both leaf_cycle and leaf_cycle to unambiguously express a coniferous/deciduous forest. Since I've meant something else I've changed my wording again. Please tell me, if you can't accord to this. Greetings, --Constantino (talk) 18:29, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

landuse=commercial

Hi,

I am writing because of your recent edit to commercial landuse definition, in particular the term „warehouse“. This could be problematic or at least merit some more clarification, because a logistics hub might be commercial landuse, but warehouses can also be industrial (e.g. storing materials or parts needed for production, or produced things, or storage of power plant material (coal, gas, etc.), or storage in ports, etc.). Indeed warehouses are defined as industrial landuse in OSM (it does not necessarily mean _all_ kind of warehouses).

I would have discussed this on tagging mailing list (I agree a definition was missing, but this is one of the key features where it is IMHO important to consult with the community before making significant changes or additions to the tag definition. I suggest to discuss it now on tagging. Maybe we can solve some more problems with landuse on the go. —Dieterdreist (talk) 14:49, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

It is sad you disappeared. No reply, neither here nor for my email. --Dieterdreist (talk) 10:30, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

About your basin edition

Here you asked if "should not all water landuses migrate to natural=water?"

But if you take a look at landuse=basin you can see that there isn't anything about the tag being deprecated or replaced by natural=water.
Also, at basin=*, it's saying that the basin key is "Used for more detailed specification of landuse=basin"

It's usually better to discuss on tagging or the discussion page (for water or landuse=basin), instead assuming that all landuse should be replaced by natural, like this.

@Naoliv: I'm actually a friend of the old system (without natural=water at all), but having two systems at the same time is nothing we should strive for.--Constantino (talk) 05:27, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Vote on Proposed_features/Substation_functions

  • I oppose this proposal I oppose this proposal. Would lead to massive retaggings.--Constantino (talk) 21:47, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
Can you elaborate a bit more regarding how massive the retagging would be please? Proposal gives 2k objects to be edited out of 300k Fanfouer (talk) 16:59, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

Deletion policy

Dear Constantino,

We would like to invite you to voting in the case of the proposed Deletion policy for wiki pages and files. Based on the input of several contributors, we drafted a deletion policy over the span of two and a half months. Among other things, the policy proposes a centralised discussion page for all cases which are not mentioned explicitly.

Kind regards, EzekielT

PS: I wrote this message on your talk page, because you were involved in a long dispute about deleting in 2018 and 2019 which now led to this policy draft. — EzekielT (talk) 18:05, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
