Hydropower waterways voting feedback

Hi, Thank you for your feedback on the Hydropower waterway facilities.
I don't understand it. Have you read Proposed_features/Hydropower_water_supplies#Pumped-storage_power_plants ?
What additional tags would you need regarding pumping power plants? Fanfouer (talk) 13:08, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me, had overlooked the sentence. If my Voting has corrected.
That's really kind of you, thank you Fanfouer (talk) 14:17, 17 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

usage=transmission

Hi,

I can see that you have voted for Proposed_features/Hydropower_water_supplies.
I have a problem with the tag usage=transmission, I'm new on the wiki and I don't know where to have answers.
On the wiki page, this tag has the status approved. But the definition of this tag on the wiki seems quite different of the informations about the transmission that we can find in the proposed features.

  • transmission on the Proposed features looks like a way to transport water from a place to another one on a short distance (if you look at the drawing at the top of the page, transmission is used for water under a hill as a free flow or a pipe flow). In the text of the page, almost nothing explains this tag.
  • transmission on the wiki page are "paths lead fluids or goods (...) to map large infrastructure moving important amounts on long distances".

Seems quite different to me : "goods" ? "long distance" ? For me, the definition for "transmission" looks a lot like the definition for "usage=main" on this page usage=* (if we forget that it talks only about railways). 2 tags for the same thing ? If you look at the history for this key, on 18 March 2018, there was nothing about transmission on this page.

The vote end was 18 March 2018 and the first version of the wiki page for the tag transmission was made on 28 March 2018 : are you agree to say that this tag was approved as it is written on the wiki page ?

Maybe there is also a problem with the tag usage=distribution (on the page usage=*) : seems to me that the tag usage=branch could fit (if we also forget that it talks only about railway).

Best regards.
